Teaching artists in mainstages after school programs are passionate about bringing theatre to diverse communities of children at both public and private schools throughout Queens and Long Island, by teaching workshop classes, as well as facilitating and directing devised showcase productions and musical productions.

After School programs are typically held one day per week on weekday afternoons. Depending upon availability, you may be offered one or more afterschool programs on multiple weekdays.
Applicants should be able to self-report to Astoria, Queens for vehicle and supplies pickup, and those with access to a vehicle are also strongly encouraged to apply.
$100-200 per session depending on length. All teaching artists are considered independent contractors.
We offer flexible scheduling, high per diem rates, and other growth opportunities.
